STEVEN’S STORY

Steven Washington had a long career touring the world as a contemporary dancer, appearing on Broadway and touring the world in Disney’s The Lion King. Steven is a certified Lee Holden Qigong instructor and has taught groups and individuals for 20 years in pilates, dance, physical fitness and Qigong. His ability to bring these various modalities to mindful awareness is a real gift.

QIGONG PRACTICE:

FULL VERSION WITH INTRODUCTION

This qigong sequence was designed by Steven to help focus and energize you. Maybe you are tired, or getting over a cold, or just have too much on your mind — yet, you still need to get different things done in your day. And what if you feel that way and you still need to walk out on stage for a performance or into a room to make a presentation or take an exam? This sequence will help you create the focus and energy you will need.  

In this Full Version, Steven explains what QiGong is and then slowly takes you through the sequence so you can learn it without rushing. 


QIGONG PRACTICE:

FULL VERSION WITHOUT INTRODUCTION

GREAT FOR PRACTICING AND LEARNING THE SEQUENCE

This is the slower instructional practice from the Full Version above. We removed the 4 minute introduction from the Full Version so once you have heard the Full Version, if you prefer, you can move to just this practice.

Qigong is a peaceful and deliberate practice that does not require you to go “faster.” Many people prefer to stay with this sequence at this lovely slower pace.Whether you are about to walk on stage or take an exam, this Qigong sequence is designed especially to focus and energize you.

This is an abbreviated Qigong sequence that is approximately 8 minutes in length. Feel free to do this anytime you want. This routine is especially useful when you need a quick boost of energy or a speedy way to sharpen your focus. Enjoy!


QIGONG PRACTICE:

SHORT VERSION

This is an abbreviated QiGong Sequence (similar to the Full Version) that is approximately 8 minutes in length. It also builds focus and energy and is very useful if you don’t have as much time to do the longer version above. We recommend that you don’t move to this version until you have practiced the slower version above.  

This routine is especially useful when you need a quick boost of energy or a speedy way to sharpen your focus.


HOW TO MANAGE FEAR & UNCERTAINTY

In this short video, Steven will guide us through a breathing practice, two acupressure holds and two QiGong movement sequences. Try them all and know that they are now part of your self-care toolbox.
